Why Hire a Copywriter
Recently I had my photography website rewritten by copywriter Nigel Warner from TreeTopView. The reason is that writing is not my speciality and I wanted to ensure that when I am talking to my target market from my website that I do so in away that will ensure they will stay on the website longer to see what I have to offer.
I have asked Nigel to be a guest blogger and share with you his 5 1/2 Great Reasons to Hire a Copywriter. Over to you Nigel…
Hi. We are told that a picture paints a thousand words. This is great, but not if you want information like… How much do you charge? What experience do you have? What will you actually do for my money?
The words we use in business are vital. People want to get information about what we offer, quickly and with little effort. If they have to work hard to decipher what they are reading, they will simply find the service or product that they are looking for elsewhere. If they find the information they need written with clarity they are far more likely to go the next step and talk with you or, better still, pay you for services or products.
So here are 5½ reasons why it makes sense to hire a copywriter to ensure that the words you use for marketing and sales work for you.
1. Your clients are worth it – If a person has invested the time to read about your business, their experience should be positive. Great images and words can help to make it a pleasure to visit a website or read a brochure.
2. Great Words Sell – I am sure that you are confident that your service and product are good enough for someone to buy. Great words will tell potential customers, with clarity and persuasion, why they should pay for what you are offering. Average words will simply send them to a competitor who has better words.
3. I am not a photographer – You are not a writer. If I want professional images for my business or family I will employ a photographer. Then I know that what I am getting will be effective and of high quality. In the same way, copywriter will work to your brief to give you words that will be effective and of a high quality.
4. Smelling pistakes look amateur – See what I mean? Spelling mistakes and bad grammar can drive customers away. A copywriter will get it right. They will also be able to proof read and edit the things that you have written.
5. Google and Co. love original content! – Web content that makes sense without repetition, but containing your key words for search, is simply good for search engine ranking and SEO (search engine optimisation). A copywriter will make your content read naturally whilst including all of the correct words.
5½. Copywriters are really nice! – Talking about what you might want will cost nothing. Contact me today.
