Essex travel photography tips
Next to photography, what I absolutely love is boats. Unfortunately I’ve never owned a boat, well not the type you can actually sail, however I’m happy to just be around them.
A couple of weeks ago, Team Turnbull headed off to Roydon Marina Village for a few days to take some time out by staying in a large lodge. The weather on the Saturday wasn’t particularly great for getting out, however the Sunday was absolutely glorious.
So armed with my Canon G12 I went off for a wander around the marina to check out all the boats and to grab some photographs as well. The majority of the boats are permanent residences for the owners so it was good to be able to chat with them and find out about their life on th water.
For greater control, the camera was set to fully manual. I had ISO 400 and the White Balance set to Auto. Then off I went.
It was really enjoyable walking in the Autumn sun and the only thing I had to worry about was not letting the low afternoon sun cause too much flair.
